Hi, welcome to my story about Tiffany
I'm Erik, almost 30 years young and I live in the Netherlands.
I've been a Tiffany-fan since the beginning of her career. I can't exactly
remember when I heard Tiff's voice for the first time, but I do know that
even I'm a rock-music lover, I was gripped by Tiffany's voice (and her
looks, of course) very soon!
I bought her album "Tiffany" and I was surprised to hear that the music was
better than I thought it would be.
When I heard the song "I Saw Him Standing
There", I thought she'd better
start a career in rock music! She has a great voice and she can also perform
live. That's one of the things I like best about her.
Later I got the album "Hold An Old Friend's
Hand" and I liked that too! The
best song on that album I think is "Hold An Old Friend's
Hand".
I had to get used to her new haircut (curly hair), but soon I liked it
better. It gave her more of an "adult look". No longer a young girl, but more a
young women....
After that I never heard anything about her and I always wondered what had
happened to Tiffany.
One day (in 1990 I believe) I was in a shop looking for some cd's when I saw
a Tiffany-cd. It was the album "New Inside", her third album!
I listened to the cd, but I didn't really like the music so I didn't buy it
:-( , something I regret, because Tiffany is not "hot" anymore...
But so be it..
Last year (1998) my parents got a computer with Internet and from that
moment on I started looking for Tiffany on the internet, not expecting to
find anything worth knowing. But I was wrong!! There were a few sites about
Tiffany and I put my name in the guest books in order to get in touch with
other Tiffany-fans all over the world.
A few months ago I got an e-mail from a guy named Charles Hefti.
We still correspond with one another. Not only about Tiffany, but also about
other things, like artists we like (besides Tiff of course).
I found out that there are more Tiffany-fans who like to get to know other
Tiffany-fans, so I decided to start a fan club. First it would be a fan club for
the Dutch fans, because otherwise it would get a bit complicated sending the
magazines and getting the money from the members. Later I got an e-mail from
Thomas Schmidt from Germany who was interested in becoming a member. He
suggested to start an online fan club and that he wanted to build a site and
asked me to do it together. Well, here it is!
Our goal is to get in touch with the fans, so if you have anything you would
like to add or ask: please write us!! We WILL answer your mails, we
promise!! You can write to me in Dutch, English and German and you can write
Thomas in English and German.
If you have articles, albums, news, whatever that's about (or related
to) Tiffany, then please inform us, so we can add it to our site and I think we
will put a "thank you"-note for you on the site...
This is my story about how I got into Tiffany and the only thing I'd like to
say is : I hope Tiffany will do some rock music in the future, because I think
her voice is suitable for rock music... In the Netherlands we have a rock band "Normaal" who have recorded several songs with
other artists, including "forgotten" artists and they all started their
career again. Or she should do a duet with "Anouk", a Dutch female singer with
a great voice! Anouk is a kind of pop/rock artist and is very
successful in the Netherlands and is busy starting a career in the USA.
